Azul y Garanza Fiesta (750ml)
Deeply intense dark colour. A mass of heady ripe blackberry and dark cherry fruit leaps from the glass. Pure, beautifully ripe and glowing with health this fine red from Navarra in north east Spain makes a very compelling argument as an alternative to Rioja, its more celebrated neighbour.
The palate is similarly easy to enjoy, crammed with a medley of raspberry, damson plum and blackberry with subtle nuances of wild scrub and herbs, topped off with a light dusting of pepper. Tannins are relaxed and gentle. All in all, a joyful glass of casual drinking red.

A great wine in it's purest unadulterated form.

Produced by renowned French vintner Jean Bouquet, this Argentine Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the best Mendoza can offer. Made from 100% organic grapes grown 1,200 metres above sea level and bottle-aged for 4 months, this is a classic example of Mendoza’s quality reds. The colour is a beautifully intense purple, with just a hint of red. The nose is heavy with mild spices and red fruits, and the wine has elegant flavours of cherry, blackcurrant, and minerals. The acidity keeps the wine refreshing with every sip, and you get hints of tobacco, black pepper, and ripe fruits on the palate. The tannins are structured and the end is long, producing one amazing Cabernet!

Selected organic grapes are sourced mainly from vineyards in Tupungato at an altitude of 1200 meters (4000 feet) above sea level, one of the highest points in Mendoza. 100% Malbec given limited time in American and French oak during the fermentation, then aged for four months in the bottle prior to release. Packed with effusive notes of blackberry, damson and cassis overlain with a subtle hint of spice. An aromatic note of floral violet adds to its heady charm. Gloriously ripe with with a lively freshness and vigour. Excellent structure and persistence. Brilliant with steak and strong cheese.

Jasci Montepulciano d’Abruzzo (13%vol) (750ml)
Lovingly sourced by the Jasci family from a number of well-sited plots of vines in the province of Chieti in Abruzzo, this dark, juicy Montepulciano exhibits all the classic hallmarks of this much loved wine style. Ripe, dark autumnal hedgerow fruits mingle with notes of spice and a touch of liquorice. Fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks and cement vats in order to safeguard as much of the pure fruit expression as possible. The tannins are well sculpted, lending an attractive dry edge to the finale, ensuring that the wine is appreciated at its best when served at table with traditional Italian cuisine.

Fantastic wine from Couronneau. Merlot-dominated it has been made with ‘easy-drinking’ very much in mind. They’d probably kill us for saying so, but it’s got some of that New World ripeness that makes wines from countries like Chile, so popular. Ripe, soft merlot fruits dominate.

Piqueras - High Altitude Garnacha Tintorera (750ml)(14% Alc)
The 'High Altitude Garnacha Tintorera' from Bodegas Piqueras comes from the Almansa region of southeastern Spain. It is different to Garnacha, and is a rare 'red-fleshed' grape variety - the vast majority are clear-fleshed, with the skins providing the colour. It gives ripe red cherries, raspberries, crushed boysenberries, red plums and a touch of vanilla spice on the nose. Medium-bodied and deep in colour with well-integrated fine juicy tannins, persistent and soft on the palate with a silky fruit-forward finish.

A multi award-winning wine which is sure to get heads turning (and not just to read the label!). Blended from different fermentations of Tempranillo, Garnacha Tintorera and Bobal grapes, and then aged in Hungarian oak for four months. It has a captivating smoky, forest berried nose, with light, soft, elegant fruit flavours on the palate. There’s some dark chocolate and cherry too with lively acidity in the clean, uplifting finish.
