Chilli Jams & Smoked Bacon

Claire and her family moved to West wales from the south east of England to embrace the essence of nature, farming and self-sufficiency. They set out to grow as much of their own food as possible and store it all at their farm. Using their polytunnel , large vegetable garden, greenhouse and grazing land over the years they slowly achieved their goals. Claire keeps miniature ponies as a source of manure to feed their vegetable patches. Alongside their ponies they keep a small flock of sheep mixed ducks and hens , pigs in the summer months and turkeys at Christmas. Each animal or bird has its part in keeping the farm going to produce meat or help with the growth of their vegetables.
