As a part of our interest in baking good bread, and using locally sourced ingredients, we got involved in establishing the Welsh Grain Forum, a community of growers, millers, bakers, maltsters, distillers, brewers, thatchers, researchers and friends who recognise the economic, environmental, nutritional and cultural benefits of developing a thriving national grain economy.

As a group, we have links with similar groups in Scotland, and England, and together we are working to save traditional grain varieties from being lost, and to promote the growing and use of grains throughout Wales and the UK.

We want to set up a way for small producers to get involved in growing and processing grain on a small scale, and by linking together with lots and lots of other small producers and people who use grain and grain products, we feel we are better able to make that change.
